Philosophy

TruthPerseveranceStraightforwardnessHard workIntellectual openness

Truth, perseverance, straightforwardness, hard work and intellectual openness matter to us.

At GVB, we invest in ideas that are ambitious, and worth building, pursued by teams who are domain experts and have extraordinarily high conviction. Some of what we back doesn't start as a pitch deck. It starts when an engineer discovers a prevalent problem in the real world that many customers need solved. Sometimes, it starts in a lab, with a researcher chasing a question that doesn't have a quick answer.

We focus on frontier technologies like neurotech, robotics, advanced computing, and Space 2.0. These are science-heavy areas and they require a lot of deep consideration. That's fine with us. We're here to help founders take deep science and practical engineering and bring it to the real world.

We don't think of machines as replacements for people. We think of them as collaborators. The future we're building is one where intelligent systems extend what humans can do, not automate us out of the picture. That belief shapes what we invest in and who we choose to work with.

We believe in decentralization; in breaking away from centralized control and opening up access. Whether it's networks, data, or opportunity, we think the next generation of platforms will be more distributed and more fair.

We know early stage deep tech isn't easy. That's why we don't just write checks. We help with IP strategy. We connect you with developers and product partners. We make intros to investors and industry. The goal isn't just to invest. It's to build.

That's our philosophy. Start early. Stay curious. Stay committed. And help serious founders do hard things.

We don't think of machines as replacements for people. We think of them as collaborators.
